Basketball Skills & Leadership Development

During workout sessions, kids play the role of teacher, teammate and student. They are asked to demonstrate techniques to a group that includes participants of all ages and skill levels. Each session has individual, small group, and team-based drills.

At times, kids are required to be both players and coaches during games. We have a rotation system that forces every player to be in the position of coach prior to rotating into the game – they are responsible for calling offensive and defensive plays and for encouraging their teammates. After each game players self-organize action learning sessions, where they break down the game and determine what worked, what didn’t work, and what they could have done better.
